FAQ

Who can ride with Lit Riderz?

Anyone who loves bikes and good vibes. Lights and a helmet are strongly encouraged!

When are the regular rides?

Our monthly ride is the 2nd Saturday of the month. Please check the Events page for all of our rides.

Do I need LED lights?

Bring them if you have them. More glow, more fun. For club prospect and membership expectations, addressable LED lighting on the bike frame and wheels is part of the club’s lighting standard. Event requirements may differ, so check the ride details if you are attending as a guest.

Are costumes okay?

Yes! Costumes are encouraged on holiday rides.

How long do the rides usually last??

The duration of our rides can vary, but they typically last between 2 to 4 hours.

Are these motorcycle rides?

No. Lit Riderz rides are bicycle rides, including electric bicycles (e-bikes). Please make sure your bike and its equipment comply with applicable laws wherever we ride.

What are addressable LEDs?

Addressable LEDs are lights whose individual pixels or sections can be controlled to create moving patterns, color changes, and synchronized effects. Make sure lighting is securely installed and does not distract or endanger other road users.

How do I become a Lit Riderz Member?

Start by attending an event that welcomes guests and getting to know the club. If you want to be considered, ask the club about its current prospect process, expectations, and next steps. Participation does not guarantee membership.

Is there a prospect guideline?

The club’s prospect guidelines describe a one-year probationary period before full membership consideration. Confirm the current requirements and evaluation process with club leadership.

What is expected of a prospect?

Prospects are expected to show reliability, respect, teamwork, basic bicycle maintenance skills, and a willingness to help with ride logistics and refreshments when needed.

Does my bike need to be customized?

No specific custom build iis required for every ride. Start with a safe, well-maintained bike and check the current club prospect guidelines for the lighting and equipment standards used in membership evaluation.
